Incoming Freshmen and Parents: Please mark your calendars: Freshmen Orientation is Tuesday, August 23rd in the high school auditorium at 6:00 pm. Students and parents are welcome to attend! High School administration will be going over information for the year and students will have an opportunity to tour the building afterward. Then on Wednesday, August 24th, our HS Link Crew will have Freshmen Orientation Training. This time has been updated and the orientation will be from 9:00-11:00 am. We hope all of our incoming freshmen can make it as our Link Crew has a lot of fun activities and great information set up for our freshmen! #CornjerkerPride
HAHS Parents:
This is just a friendly reminder that today is the last day for online registration for this year. As of this morning, we still have over 100 students from last year who have yet to be registered. If you haven’t already done so, please go online and use your snap code to get your students registered today. Online registration closes at midnight tonight. The office will also be open today until 3:30 but will be closed from 11:30-12:30 for lunch. #CornjerkerPride
Important Reminder:
College Express/Dual Credit/Higher Learning Center begins Monday August 22nd! Please note that these students will start a week before HAHS starts on August 29th. If you have signed up for these courses you have to start on August 22nd or risk being dropped from the courses.
The bus for college express will leave at 11:50 am behind the school starting August 22nd. Students must be on time or the bus will leave without you.
Students/parents of regular dual credit students, please remember that you need to get your textbooks before the first day of class. The Higher Learning Center can help with any questions on that. (Textbooks are provided to College Express students)

There will be a Clothing Caravan from Fair Hope Children's Ministry that will be set up on August 24th. It will be held at the Girl Scout building at McFerren Park from 3:00-7:00 pm.
There will be clothing for babies through teenagers. The clothes are free to anyone in need.
Good evening Hoopeston Area Families! In working with the athletic department and our buildings and ground department, we are pleased to announce that our Fall Meet the Jerkers Night is back on! We will be holding the event on Friday, August 19th.
The night will kick off with the conclusion of our marching band camp at 5:30 pm where the Marching Cornjerkers will perform for their parents and the community on the band practice field to the East of the high school. At 6:00 pm the action will move to John Greer where the HAHS Volleyball team will scrimmage. At 6:30 pm we will return to the football field where the soccer team will scrimmage. At 7:00 pm members of golf and cross country will be announced followed by the introductions of our cheer squad and the HAAP football team. The night will conclude with a football scrimmage. We would like to welcome everyone out to help us cheer on our athletes as we kick off the fall sports season.

The camp will be put on by All American Volleyball Camps and is run college players. Camp is two sessions daily from 9:00-11:30 and 12:30-3:00 and the cost is $65. As a reminder for those students returning for summer school, it starts Monday, June 6th, and will run from 8:00-12:00 Monday thru Thursday till June 23rd. Project Success will be running Monday thru Friday from June 6th until July 15th to allow students to work on credit recovery as well.
