HS Wrestling is competing tonight in the VVC tournament at DACC. Good Luck Cornjerkers!
Attention Parents and Guardians: New IHSA "Dead week" is June 29-July 5, 2026. No open gyms, camps, or practices are allowed during this time. This will replace the 1st week of August dead week we have had in the past. High School fall sport athletes can expect to have summer workouts up until the official start of fall seasons on Aug. 10th. We wanted to get this information out to our families as soon as possible to help plan accordingly for any summer vacations or trips.

Please be sure to check PowerSchool for any schedule changes as we will not be printing schedules. Also, make sure you charge your Chromebook so you are ready to start the semester off right and prepared to learn! Enjoy your weekend and we will see you all on Tuesday!
Hoopeston Area High School would like to wish all of our students and their families an enjoyable Christmas Break. The High School office will be closed starting at 2:15 pm on Friday, December 19th through Friday, January 2nd. The office will reopen at 8:00 am on Monday, January 5th.
Attention HS students and families! Permission slips to leave early on Friday (12/19) for those who qualified for the Practice ACT Incentive were given out on Tuesday. Please return the completed permission slip to the High School Office as soon as possible to ensure your student is cleared to leave early on Friday. No phone calls will be allowed; we MUST have the permission slip turned in.

Tonight is senior night for our HS wrestlers. Congratulations to them and thank you for time and dedication to the program!
The HS Band, Chorus, and Winter Guard performed their Christmas Concert tonight. Both groups sounded great and really got us in the holiday spirit. Nice work Cornjerkers!
High School students will start finals week for the first semester on Tuesday, December 16th. Students must report to school on time and bring a charged Chromebook. Finals count as 20% of a student’s grade. If a student does not pass any of their classes, this may impact the second semester classes. If a student needs to leave early for any final day, a note must be brought at the beginning of the day as we do not interrupt final exams.
