Make up finals for students who missed finals week are wrapping up. Report cards for 1 semester will be printed and handed out to students next week. Students can also check their grades through their PowerSchool account. #CornjerkerPride

The High School will be holding a Scheduling Fair for all incoming freshmen on January 25th from 6:00-7:00 pm in the HS cafeteria. The purpose of this fair is to allow incoming freshmen to meet with teachers and staff and learn about all the different offerings at Hoopeston Area High School. Each department will have a table set up with information for parents and students about what classes they teach and will be available to answer questions. Extracurricular and club coaches and sponsors will also be in attendance to share information about their programs. This night's purpose is to give parents and students an opportunity to get a better idea of course offerings for when students begin signing up for classes in the spring to get their schedules set for the next school year.

Each year we give away thousands and thousands of dollars in scholarships to our seniors during the senior awards night in May. If you haven't already done so, please check out our high school website and click on the menu tab. There you will find a link for scholarships that takes you to our scholarship page. Once there, you will have access to our full list of scholarships, including their requirements and the applications to apply. There are scholarships that range from $500 dollars all the way up to a four-year full scholarship. Please take the time to review our scholarship page and get your applications turned in! Also, don't forget to keep coming back to it as we are continually updating this page as new scholarships are made available! Friday, March 24th, is the deadline to turn in applications for many of our local scholarships.

As a reminder, the county basketball tournament begins today at DACC and will run through all of next week. Also the county cheer championship is this Saturday, January 14th at DACC at 10:00 am. Please come out to DACC and support all of our teams!
As a reminder, we will not have school on Monday, January 16th for the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday and we will not have school on Tuesday, January 17th due to a teacher's institute.
