Just a reminder that Maple’s Meet and Greet for 1st Grade, 2nd grade and Miss Troxel’s class will be held tomorrow Monday, August 17th from 4-5. Kindergarten Meet the Teacher will be on Thursday, August 20th. Those will be scheduled by your child’s teacher.
Maple kindergarten students will need the following items turned into the Maple office by Wednesday, August 19th, in order to start school: birth certificate, shot record, current physical (or proof of upcoming appointment) and an Illinois eye exam (or proof of upcoming appointment). These documents are required by the State of Illinois to start school. Please call the Maple office at 217-283-6665 if you have any questions. The office is open from 7:30-4:00 daily. Thank you

Your teacher assignment is now ready. Thank you for being patient as we worked to make adjustments. You can sign into INOW via the password that was mailed to you this week. Go to www.hoopeston.k12.il.us and scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Information Now" under QuickLinks. If you did not receive one or are a new student, please call the office at 217-283-6665 to find out your child's teacher assignment.
1st and 2nd Grade Drive Up Meet the Teacher Night will be held Monday, August 17th from 4:00-5:00. Bring your supplies, drive up near your child's class (signs will be posted) and your teacher will greet you and collect your supplies!
Kindergarten Meet the Teacher Day will be held August 20th. Your child's teacher will contact you to set up a time to come in.

Just a reminder that Hoopeston Area Online registration starts today and runs through Wednesday. You may register from your computers at home. If you do not have a tablet, computer, internet, etc., you can come to Maple and use a kiosk to register. Anyone needing to drop off required documents can do so as well. If you need a school waiver form, we have those in the office as well. Please follow these steps to register:

Maple Chromebook Return Plan
● All chromebooks will be collected during a drive up return day. May 26th and May 27th will be collection days for chromebooks.
● Chromebook collection times will be from 9-11 am and 1-3 pm on May 26th and May 27th.
● ALL chromebooks, chargers and cases will need to be returned.
● Please bring all chromebooks fully charged for collection.
● Procedures:
○ Please drive up East Lincoln from the West (the same as the kindergarten school drop off pattern).
○ Please stay in your car while waiting.
○ Staff will be stationed at a table outside the main entrance at Maple. They
will come to your car and collect your chromebook and give you a receipt
of collection if you return all components (chromebook, charger and case).
○ Walk ups will be available for those that live nearby. Please maintain
social distancing protocol.

Please start at the corner of 4th & Lincoln and head south around the block. Teachers and staff will be surrounding the building for one last goodbye wave for the year! Please remember to stay in your vehicles. Teachers and staff will be practicing social distancing and would LOVE to see you all one more time for the year. Any time during the 6:30-7:30 hour feel free to drive by, honk, and wave!

Packets are also located in the outdoor lending library outside of Maple School on the north side.
