Mrs. Gress’s class played Battleship during math today to learn about coordinate planes!





Hoopeston Area Alumni and Miss Iroquois County Fair Queen, Erin Anderson, came to read a book about agriculture to Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. Gress’s classes this afternoon.



5th grade students are solving a mathematical murder mystery case today!


On the last day of outdoor school, Mrs. Anderson’s class saw all kinds of animals! Deer, 3 different turtles, salamanders, snails, and many more!





Luckily, the weather mostly cooperated for the 5th graders at Outdoor School today! Mrs. Anderson’s class hiked the Wheeler Trail and visited the Visitor’s Center. We learned all about native animals today!





Mrs. Anderson’s class had another great day at outdoor school. We hiked the Lookout Point trail and did an aquatic study at the marsh. We saw turtles, crayfish, snails, chipmunk, frogs, and tadpoles.





Mrs. Anderson’s class has a great first day at Outdoor School. We explored the Middle Fork River, hiked the River Bluff Trail, looked at animals in a wildlife blind, saw the marshes, and did a forest floor exploration.





5th grade students are working on some real world skills by planning a city. Their city needs to include roads, sidewalks, green spaces and buildings. The buildings are a wrap up for our volume unit. They are enjoying the hands on project during this week of IAR testing!

5th graders are learning about pond ecosystems and food webs by playing a card game.





Last week, the 4th graders used paper and cups to build bridges for their engineering unit in science. This week, they get to study famous bridges from around the world using virtual reality headsets.
