5th grade families, band, & choir sign ups are underway! A parent meeting will be held in the John Greer band room on Tuesday, August 29 at 6:30 PM. It's the perfect time for students to try something new and make lasting memories with their friends!

John Greer faculty and staff are excited for the beginning of the school year on Monday. School begins at 8:20. Teachers will be on the playground at 7:50, ready to welcome everyone to John Greer!

Wednesday, August 9, is the last day of student registration for the 2023-2024 school year. The online links can be accessed through the homepage of the district website. Office personnel will be present at John Greer to assist from 8:30 - 11:00 and from 12:30 - 3:30.

Third graders got to meet and read to their nursing home penpals this afternoon!

At Outdoor School this morning, Mrs. Anderson's class hiked to the Middlefork River. We explored the sandbar. Then we hiked the River Bluff Trail. While we visited the wildlife blind, we saw so many turtles.







Mrs. Anderson's class had a great day at Outdoor School. Today, we hiked the Lookout Point Trail and did a forest floor exploration along the Hidden Valley Trail.




It's a beautiful day in 3rd grade to read outside!


In 5th grade we have been working on podcasts about women in history. Today we had Erin Anderson come in as a guest speaker. Erin is majoring in agriculture communications at Purdue. We enjoyed her presentation today!

5th graders dissected owl pellets today in the STEM Lab!




5th graders are learning about food chains by playing a game to make their own food chains!



3rd grade used lego robotic kits to build robots that can pull a sled.




Ms. Hart and Mrs. Robinsons fourth grade class enjoying their attendance reward of snacks and a movie! We love having great attendance!


We are so thankful for local businesses supporting education! 112 started a program to reward students for their reading. These two students from Mrs. Gress’s class have earned their first free donut!
