Mrs. Lee’s HAMS Honors ELA class was honored to host author Dennis Noyes in their class today. Mr. Noyes, a Hoopeston native who has traveled the world, shared stories of his adventures, his writing, and his novel, “Yonders, Illinois,” in which the setting is based on his hometown of Hoopeston. Thank you for sharing your time and talent, Mr. Noyes!

HAMS students in Mrs. Schoonover's Science class participated in an egg drop project this week. The students are studying Newton's Laws of Motion. Congratulations to the winners of the egg drop, Samuel Frieden and William Clawson Hensley.

On Friday, our HAMS Drama Class had the privilege of participating in the IESA State Speech Contest in Rantoul. Eighth Graders Isabelle Acosta and Audra Powell did a great job representing Hoopeston Area with their duet performance. #CornjerkerPride

HAMS is proud to congratulate Caleb Clark on being picked to represent the District 3 Junior Choir at the Junior and Senior Concert Festival that is coming up on Saturday, November 18 at Olivet Nazarene University.
