Last night Hoopeston Area Middle School hosted their annual Teacher Appreciation Night at the volleyball game. We are blessed with the best at HAMS. Thank you for everything that you do for our students!

This week, Mrs. Lee’s HAMS 8th grade honors ELA class presented creative cover letters as part of their informational text unit.
Students researched education and skills needed for their dream jobs, as well as their ideal location of work. Then, they presented a creative “cover letter” promoting why they would be the best fit for the job.
Career options ranged from band director, interior designer, and professional pianist to cell biologist, electrician, and medical office receptionist.
Students then voted on their choices for the Lee-Sie Award of Literary Excellence.
Congratulations to our winners:
1st: Avery S.
2nd: Kinley W.
3rd: Ethan H.

Mrs Cappellano's room had a lot of fun this afternoon making various Christmas crafts and decorating gingerbread houses. @HAMS @CornjerkerPride

🥫🌟 HAMS Food Drive Challenge! 🌟🥫
We’re excited to announce our HAMS Food Drive Challenge, running November 3–21! Students will collect as many nonperishable food items as possible in their 1st-hour classes to help restock our school pantry and support families in need this season. Each day, items will be counted and then put into our pantry for immediate use.
Every item will be counted daily toward a schoolwide total, and the top class in each grade level will win a BIG treat! 🍩🎉
This is a great way for our students to give back, practice kindness, and make a real difference right here in our community.
Thank you for supporting our Cornjerkers & their families!
