Current 8th graders: If you haven't already, please get your orange schedule requests to the MS or HS office by May 1st. You will not be allowed to change your schedule in the fall unless a teacher requests it.

HAMS families: Remote learning will continue through the week of May 18th. All work will need to be turned in by May 21st. Curbside chromebook drop off will be on May 26th and 27th. Students will be given the contents from their lockers at this time. Stay tuned for more info.

All HA students currently in 5th, 6th, and 7th grades should complete the form found at this address: https://forms.gle/ufc5Z3PUJ7vcLGKn9 This is the form that will allow you to select Encore classes for next school year. The deadline to complete this form is 5/1.#CornjerkerPride

HAMS students, the Office Google Classroom code has changed. If you are not part of the Office Classroom, the code you will need to gain access is: pepivt6 #CornjerkerPride

Starting 3/30, HAMS will be posting weekly activities on our website, facebook, and in Google classrooms. For those without internet access at home, packets will be available at lunch pick up locations from 11-12. You may also pick up materials at HAMS, from 9 am-3 pm on 3/30.

Spring 2020 Parent-Teacher Conferences will not be rescheduled. Further communication regarding parent meetings is forthcoming.


Teen Reach will be closed beginning Monday, March 16th. It will resume Monday, March 30th.

Just a reminder that there will be no Teen Reach on Thursday, March 19th. It is being cancelled so students are able to attend their conferences. See everyone there!

Hoopeston Area 2020 Family Connection Night
Hoopeston Area Middle School is hosting the 2020 Hoopeston Area Family Connection Night for the entire community on Thursday, March 5th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The evening will begin at 6:00 PM in the Hoopeston Area High School Auditorium with renowned local author, speaker and TV/radio host, Kendra Smiley, giving a keynote address. She will talk about how we can build the best community possible by tapping into strong Hoopeston area families.
A free meal of a hot dog, chips and a drink will be provided for the first 100 in attendance for the evening. This event is part of our continued dedication to improve our community’s schools.
From 6:45 to 8:00 PM, Immediately following the keynote speaker, Hoopeston Area Middle School families can attend informational sessions on topics like internet safety and high school readiness. Local community organizations will present information. Prizes will be available for attendees. For additional information, contact Hoopeston Area Middle School Assistant Principal, Mr. Steve Chorak at 217-283-6664.

Parents of the community are welcome to attend the Orange Frog Book Study at the Hoopeston High School Library on Thursday, January 9th from 6:30 until 7:30 pm. Please enter through north entrance of the library. Food and beverages will be served at this free event.
