Maple School Week of April 20-24th Choice Menus and Resources
Here are the links the week of April 20-24th. You can download the resources from the school website. Packets will also be available at all school lunch pick up sites on Monday, April 20th from 11:00-12:00. Packets are also located in the outdoor lending library outside of Maple School on the north side.

Governor Pritzker just announced that remote learning will continue through the rest of the 19/20 school year. Maple will continue to provide the learning packets and contacts throughout the rest of the school year. Once we have details for the remainder of the school year laid out, we will get that information to you.
My staff and I are heartbroken for our students. There are no words to express the hole in our hearts that this has left. Our building is eerily quiet and should be full of laughter and giggles. We will do the best we can to facilitate their learning through the rest of the year. We will continue to teach them each and every day through remote learning. We will also come up with a plan for the end of the year as well.
In the meantime, we want to say thank you to all the parents and guardians who are facilitating remote learning at home. Your hard work is much appreciated and so important. Please keep up the good work and lean on your child's teacher and our staff for support. We will get through this together. We miss you students!
Maple Kindergarten Pre-Registration
Due to the current school shut down, Maple Grade School's Kindergarten preregistration/screening, planned for April 27th and 28th, has been cancelled. However, we would like to get students preregistered for the 2020 school year electronically. If you have a student that will be 5 before September 1, please complete the following Google Form to get your student preregistered for kindergarten. This document is extremely important as it assists us with planning and proper student placement. Once this pandemic settles down, we will try and either reschedule the screening dates or set up an Open House. In the meantime, please complete the following confidential form to register your little one for kindergarten at Maple Grade School for the 2020 school year! Please pass this information along to those parents of potential new kindergarten students. We look forward to meeting our new little Cornjerkers! Since we aren't able to hatch chicks in class, Mrs. Clemmons brought her incubator home to hatch and share virtually with kiddos. On day 4 students were challenged to look at the model egg and draw their own! #cornjerkerpride #kinderwithclemmons #happyclassrooms #Coronavirus 🥚🐣

I just wanted to let parent's with pre-K students, know about a new Facebook group with great ideas and resources for them. It is made up of preschool teachers and parent's of preschoolers from Iroquois, and Vermilion county. We are sharing ideas and resources that you can do at home with your preschooler. As we are uncertain of what the future holds for our students, Maple is looking into at home learning options. As of now we are only out until March 3oth. We will return to school on March 31st at this point. However, things keep changing. Please take this brief survey to help us evaluate our options. March 17th; Rankin....we are set up at the Lions Club with food, books, packets and school supplies! We are here 11-1! Come on up!
A HUGE shout to Maple staff this morning!! They showed up to get learning packets ready, donated books to send with students and packed up school supplies to distribute! All of this will be available at lunch pick up sites beginning on Tuesday of this week.
There is no school for Hoopeston Area on Monday, March 16th due to the current health crisis. Please see information about lunches for students this week.
