The first day of kindergarten is just around the corner! This is an exciting milestone—but we also know it can bring a few butterflies for both students and parents.
Join us for a special evening designed to help ease those nerves and set you and your child up for success!
What to Expect:
✅ Valuable information about the kindergarten year
✅ Tips and tools to help your child transition smoothly
✅ A chance to meet our staff and ask questions
✅ Gift card raffles for those in attendance!
While parents attend an informational meeting in the cafeteria, kindergarten students will enjoy:
Supervised playtime on the playground
A tasty snack
Kindergarten teachers will be present for supervision
Please bring only your incoming kindergarten student so we can make this a special time just for them!

Maple end of Summer School Celebration!
We would like to congratulate some of our fine second grade students on their recent award. Nathan Walsh and Kynleigh Ponton were Maple’s Illinois Principal’s Association winners for Maple Elementary School.These two students were recognized for their efforts in class, kindness and tenacity. Congratulations!
Congratulations to our 1st Grade Math Challenge participants! 4 or our 5 teams received top honors with our last team receiving the mid level award. We are so proud of them and their hard work!
Some of Maple's first grade math students are participating in the District 118 First Grade Math Competition today! They are being coached by our very own senior math students from the high school! Good luck!!!
Congratulations to Mrs. Mayra Resendez, from Maple, on her Golden Ruler Award! The district is so very blessed to have such a caring and positive role model!
We started the process of hatching chicks in kinder! Thank you Jessica Davis for donating our eggs for this fun project.

We collected 47 states and 18 countries. The students had a great time learning about the states and other countries! We want to thank everyone who helped us!
Maple students visited Autumn Fields and Heritage Health to spread some Valentine's Day music and cards that were made by Maple students. Students absolutely love visiting the community! Happy Valentine's Day!

Hoopeston Area Schools will utilize an E-Learning day on Wednesday February 12 due to the predicted winter weather for our area. Be safe and thank you.
ALL Maple students need to complete Day 2 Learning packets and return the packet on Thursday, February 13th to their classroom teacher. ALL packets must be turned in.
