Parents and Guardians,
On Friday, September 18th, Hoopeston Area High School students will participate in our state-mandated ALICE safety training.
ALICE stands for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and Evacuate and provides students and staff with age-appropriate strategies and options to use in the event of an active threat.
The training will be conducted in a safe, age-appropriate, and instructional manner. Our goal is to help students understand what to do and how to respond during an emergency while ensuring they feel supported and prepared.
We appreciate your support as we continue to make student and staff safety a priority. If you have questions about the training, please contact the high school office.

🎤✨ A morning full of inspiration! ✨🎤
Our high school students had the opportunity to hear from David McCreary this morning, and what a powerful message he shared! ❤️
His message reminded us that the choices we make, the way we treat others, and the attitude we bring each day truly matter. Sometimes, a simple change in perspective can make a BIG difference.
We hope our students walked away feeling encouraged to believe in themselves, make good choices, overcome challenges, and be the best version of themselves. 💪🏼🌟

As we begin HS sports, this is a reminder to all parents of students grade 8 or younger. To ensure everyone’s safety, all elementary and middle school students must be supervised by an adult at all times while attending school events.
When inside the high school building, students who are not at the concession stand or restroom must remain in the gymnasium with their parent, guardian, or adult designee.
When outside, students are to remain in the bleachers with their parent or guardian.
No balls of any kind should be brought to athletic events.
We ask for your cooperation in helping us provide a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience for all attendees. Thank you for your attention to this matter and for your continued partnership in supporting a positive school environment.
