Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week was started by the National Family Partnership in 1985. Since its beginning, the Red Ribbon campaign has touched the lives of millions of people around the world. In response to the murder of the Drug Enforcement Agency's Agent Enrique Camarena, angered parents and youth in communities across the country began wearing Red Ribbons as a symbol of their commitment to raise awareness of the killing and destruction caused by drugs in America. At John Greer, we celebrate Red Ribbon Week as our commitment as individuals to remain drug free!

Each day next week students are encouraged to dress by themes that were created by our Student Leadership Club.
