While the staff at HAMS is sad to see us go remote for a couple weeks, we understand it is what we need to do to keep our school and community safe. I would like to share a few notes with you as we make this temporary transition.
We do plan to return to in person learning on October 26th. The children are meeting with each of their teachers today to make sure they have all of the information they need to make a successful transition to remote learning.
While we are out for remote learning, please remember that all work counts toward the children's grades. Students should be checking the stream and the classwork tab in all of their google classrooms regularly to make sure they keep up with announcements and assignments. Having a schedule for your child is going to be key to their success with remote learning.
We will be beginning a new quarter on October 16th. All work from quarter 1 will be due no later than October 19th at noon. Report cards will be mailed out later that week. We still plan to conduct parent/teacher conferences; however, they will be teleconferences. If you wish to sign up for conferences, please sign up online. Directions can be found on our website.
Teachers will have regularly scheduled Google Meets for the students. They gave these times to their students today. The schedule can also be found on the office Google Classroom, so the students may access it at home.
If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact the MS office. We're here to help and support you in whatever way we can during this time. Stay safe and take care!
