Administration is working with the Health Department on contact tracing. Administrators or the Health Department will be making direct contact with every family of an individual needing to quarantine.

Hoopeston Area CUSD #11 has been notified of a positive COVID-19 case within our schools. Administration is working with the Vermilion County Health Department on contact tracing. Staff members and families with students that are in need of being quarantined will be notified directly by a member of administration this evening. Students that are required to quarantine will move to remote learning through October 16.

Due to the precautions that are being taken in the schools, a smaller number of students are required to quarantine due to close contact. Families with students that are in need of being quarantined will be notified directly.

Hoopeston Area Families,
As we near the end of the first quarter of school, families will have the option of changing their instructional method for second quarter. We ask that families wanting to change their instructional method contact their child's school by October 9 for the change to take place on October 19 the first day of the second quarter.
Parent/teacher conferences will take place on October 21 & 22 from 3 pm - 6:30 pm. Parent/Teacher conferences maybe conducted in-person, virtually or by phone. We encourage families to contact their child's teacher to set up an appointment and method of conducting the conference.
A summary calendar is available below and on the District website to inform families of the school schedule for the remainder of the 1st semester (Dec. 18).

Hoopeston Area has been notified of a positive covid case within our Pre-K program. Building administration is working with the Vermilion county Health Department on contact tracing. We will follow protocols and individuals within close contact must quarantine. Due to the quarantine, our Pre-K program will move to remote learning through October 7 Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Hoopeston Area High School is working closely with the Vermilion County Health Department to perform contact tracing. Individual students and staff members have been notified and encouraged to have a COVID test completed. Custodial staff are deep cleaning and sanitizing areas the individual was located in throughout the school day. As more information is discovered, we will share with our families.
