HAMS Families, 

Here are this week's assignments for remote learning.  Please be sure to reach out to your teachers if you have any questions.  I wish you all a wonderful week!  Stay healthy!

Directions:  Complete each assignment listed below.  All materials will be posted on Google Classroom.  If you need to pick up hard copies of the materials, the building will be open on Monday from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, or by appointment (email Mrs. White- whiteml@hoopeston.k12.il.us).

  1. Read “The Ancient News” (p. 540-542) and complete the who, what, when, where, and why sheet.

6th Grade Social Studies Work for the Week of 4/27/20 to 5/1/20:

1). Current Events- CNN10 VIew on 4-27-20 and complete the write-up form. View a Television News Broadcast on 4-28-20 of your choice and complete the write-up form.

2). Discovery Education:

* Read and Highlight Concept 10.1-Engage, Explore, and Evaluate Tabs

* CER Written Concept 10.1- Rome’s Natural Sites: Explore page 2: Read/Highlight and Complete Questions on Google Classroom

* Concept 10.1 Quiz- Complete on Google Classroom/You may use your online textbook as resource to help you complete the quiz

* For students who do not have Internet Access paper copies will be available for pickup

3). All assignments for the week count towards your quarter grade and require your completion and effort to help improve your academic standing.
