Robyn Read

Robyn helped lead the Cornjerker volleyball team to the 1989 state championship match as a junior middle blocker.  The team finished the season with only two losses and claimed the Class 1A State Volleyball runner-up team trophy.   She earned all-conference, all-county and all-area honors in basketball and volleyball as a junior.  As a senior she helped lead the volleyball team back to the state play-offs; she was recognized as all-conference, all-county, all-area and all-state in volleyball as a senior.  Robyn also participated in track as a sprinter and long jumper.  She was a member of the 800m relay team that competed in the finals at the IHSA state track meet. 

Robyn played club volleyball for the Twin Cities Volleyball Club during high school and then went on to play collegiately.  She played varsity volleyball on a full scholarship for two years at The University of Michigan and then two years at Illinois State University, serving as the ISU team captain as a senior.  Robyn received a B.S. from Illinois State in 1996.  After college Robyn coached volleyball at The University of Colorado-Boulder which finished in the NCAA Division I sweet 16 in 1998. 

Robyn then followed her life-long passion for animals and science and graduated from the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006.  Robyn is a veterinarian in Boulder, CO where she resides with her family.  She specializes as an orthopedic and soft tissue surgeon for animals.
