Marvin Miller

Marvin Miller- As a junior on the 22-7 Cornjerker basketball team that won the Rossville Holiday tourney, Vermilion County tourney, and the IHSA Regional title, he averaged 11.8 ppg. and led the team with an 83% average at the free-throw line.  He was voted All Conference and special mention All-County.

Marvin’s senior year, the team finished with a 23-5 record winning the Conference and County Titles for the second consecutive year. He was voted All Conference and All County, and Special Mention All-State.   He received the Assist trophy and led the team in free fhrow shooting at 90%. (Marvin says he was also a large contributor to teammate Scott Eell’s rebounding total.)

Marvin was class president for 3 years, National Honor Society for two years, and received a NCAA Division 1 athletic scholarship at Virginia Military Institute.   He received his juris doctorate degree from Chicago Kent University School of Law in 1983.  He is currently a partner at Crain, Miller & Wernsman, Ltd law firm in Centralia, Illinois.
