Aly Jackson

Aly-Jo enjoyed running from an early age as she ran her first 10K at the age of 10 at the National Sweetcorn Festival in 1980.While at Hoopeston East-Lynn, Aly-Jo lettered all four years in track and cross country.  In track, Aly-Jo was a state qualifier 3 straight years.  Her junior year she was All-Conference Champion and placed 4th in state in the 1600M.  She set a new school record that year with a time of 5:19, which she held for 25 years.  She was also a member of the 800 meter relay team that placed 3rd in state and set a school record that still holds today.


Aly-Jo also excelled in cross country, being chosen All Conference for all 4 years.  She was the Conference Champion her junior year and was the Regional Champion both her sophomore and junior year.

Aly-Jo continued her running career in college where she received a full scholarship to run cross country at DACC.  Her freshman year she earned an Academic All American award, was the Region 24 Champion, and was the Cross Country MVP.  She qualified and ran in the NJCAA National meet both years. 

Aly-Jo continued her love for running in her adult years as she completed the Christie Clinic Marathon in 2012 and has also run many ½ marathons.  Aly-Jo currently lives in Mahomet, IL with her husband Roger and their 2 sons, Blake & Alex.
